This is the second evaluation for Chapter 5: Measurement of Circles. The purpose of this evaluation was to evaluate student's understanding of circumference, perimeter and area. In order to be successful, students needed to be able to manipulate the formulas for area and circumference of a circle, and show their understanding using composite figures.

## Good Questions, Great Answers

Here are some examples of great student answers for each of the questions. You'll notice that in each case, students draw pictures to help support their work, use clear labels and write formulas. They distinguish well between *equal* and *approximate* symbols, and conclude with a *therefore* sentence.

## Rubric

Here is the rubric. At this level, students should start structuring their work using labels, be comfortable rounding to 2 decimal places, and distinguish between units (like $latex cm$) and square units (like $latex cm^2$).
